Global Asset Tracking, Tracing, Monitoring, Communications

Asset Tracking and TracingTrack and trace the movement of your organization's mobile assets efficiently and cost-effectively, using our satellite-based network. Receive regular reports direct to your desktop about your asset’s location and status, and communicate via two-way text messaging ,an optional accessory . Optimize fuel usage and journey patterns, maximize security and theft prevention, and improve overall business efficiency.

Customized reports and alarm messages, including:

bulletGeographical position
bulletReached destination
bulletNon-valid movement
bulletLoad collected
bulletFuel status
bulletTemperature
bullet

Current speed and direction

Geofencing violation

Many types of mobile asset can be equipped with our compact, discrete and low power-consumption systems, such as trucks, cars, trains, ships, barges and leisure craft.

Security and Personnel Safety Monitoring

Security and personnel safety monitoringMany situations can benefit from a secure communications link, operating independently of conventional wireless or landline infrastructures. Security reports and alarm messages can be generated from unattended premises. Panic-button warnings can be sent from banks or trucks during a raid or hi-jack, and piracy alarms can be transmitted by ships. Personnel safety can be addressed through report-in schedules, with alarm messages sent when lone workers miss their scheduled check. All operating independently of mains power integrity, cell-phone security or landline availability.

The  SAT-TDi Intelligent Satellite Terminal provides two-way communication with remote assets - moving or fixed - and is an exclusive, and integral part of the   global Telematics information service.

The terminal is an advanced mobile earth station for use in conjunction with the Satamitics Satellite Gateways, which allow worldwide communication across the Inmarsat satellite network.

A complete remote-to-desktop, end-to-end solution, with the broadest applications:

bulletTracking and tracing
bulletMonitoring and managing
bulletFixed or mobile remote assets
bulletSCADA
bulletMicro-Telemetry
bulletPersonnel safety and asset security
bulletEfficient, accurate and secure Internet delivery

  SAT-TDi Intelligent Satellite Terminal:

bulletCompact, mobile earth station
bulletAllows communication with fixed or moving assets
bulletIntelligent terminal enables remote data processing
bulletConfigurable and programmable for specific applications
bulletRemote data logging

The SAT-TDi combines the processor power of an intelligent terminal with the advanced communication protocols of our Satellite Gateways. It enables end-users to receive only the specific information they need - and only when they need it - rather than raw, unwanted data at inflexible intervals.

Complex algorithms can be run within the terminal itself, to strip out any unnecessary data, to organize and analyze the data into useful information, and to make the "exception" decisions at source - relating to geographical, temporal or other conditional limits. The exact nature of the algorithms, and the derived information, depends on the specific solution being offered to an end-user by our partner Application Service Providers.

Based on assigned priorities, historical data can be stored locally within the SAT-TDi, enabling crucial information to be communicated immediately - from anywhere in the world, to anyone in the world - via the secure   global Telematics information service.

Easy Control

The SAT-TDi's easy-to-use Graphical User Interface is designed for operation on a PC, and provides a straightforward, intuitive interface for controlling the terminal - including alarm and action conditions, such as geofencing and tempofence limits. Control can be managed locally, through the RS-232 serial port, or remotely via satellite.

Powerful Scripting Language

The terminal's powerful scripting language enables advanced users to access additional functionality.

C-Programmable

For specialist applications, the terminal can also be programmed in C, using the supplied I/O library functions.

Non-Volatile Storage

The SAT-TDi provides non-volatile storage of control scripts, any geofencing and tempofence data, and pre-defined operational messages.

Environmental Monitoring

Internal sensors measure temperature, processor supply voltage and external supply voltage.

Integral GPS

An integral 8-channel GPS receiver provides information on position, heading, speed and time (UTC).

Message Handling System

The   Message Handling System is located at a centralized Data Center, at a secure site within London’s Canary Wharf. Comprising a call billing system, a back-office system and an application server, the Data Center systems are also mirrored at a separate location for additional security. All our service’s message processing, authentication and call logging is carried out within the Data Center, as well as the activation of the remote satellite terminals. The Message Handling System interfaces to the Application Service Providers via the Internet, or via dedicated X.25 lines.
